with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., will be our main speaker for this month’s
meeting.
Transfer of training is sometimes referred to as that almost
magical link between what happens in the classroom and what is
supposed to happen after your trainees go back to the real
world. It doesn’t take too long for people in our
profession to realize that there is more to transfer of training
than good training design or an effective delivery process.
There is no magic, but you will see some examples of how these
tools – along with some careful planning and hard work – have
made a significant difference between training that works and
training that was merely a nice event while it lasted.
